Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of dog training and behaviour consultation services by Olive Dog Training ("the Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a sole trader business located in Ashford, Kent. By booking and participating in our services, you ("the Client") agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided

  • We offer in-person dog training and behaviour consultations at your home or agreed location, as well as online consultations via video conferencing platforms.
  • Services are tailored to the individual needs of the dog and the Client, but no specific outcome or behavioural result can be guaranteed.

3. Booking and Payment

  • All services must be booked in advance via phone or email.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Payment methods accepted: Bank Transfer
  • Any outstanding fees must be cleared before the start of the session.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Clients must give at least 48 notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
  • Clients are allowed to reschedule an appointment once without incurring any penalty. Subsequent rescheduling requests will be treated as a cancellation and may incur a cancellation fee of 50%.
  • Rescheduled appointments must take place within 3 months of the original booking date. After this period, the session will be forfeited and the full fee will apply.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 before the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50%.
  • In case of no-shows or cancellations without notice, the full session fee will be charged.

5. Termination of Services

  • Olive Dog Training reserves the right to terminate the training relationship with the Client at any time if it is deemed that the Client is not following the training advice provided, or if the dog’s behaviour poses a risk to the trainer, the Client, or others.
  • Repeated cancellations or excessive rescheduling (more than once per session) may result in the termination of services.
  • If a Client continuously cancels or reschedules beyond the allowed limits, or if the rescheduled appointment exceeds 3 months from the original booking date, Olive Dog Training reserves the right to terminate the relationship with the Client without further notice.
  • In the event of termination, the Client will be refunded for any unused sessions, except where termination is due to the Client’s failure to comply with these Terms or engage in unsafe practices.
  • Any decision to terminate the relationship will be communicated in writing.

5. Liability and Responsibility

  • While we take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the dog, all training and behaviour consultations are carried out at the Client’s risk.
  • The Client agrees to indemnify and hold Olive Dog Training harmless against any loss or damage to property or injury to persons or animals arising out of the services provided, except in the case of gross negligence or misconduct by the Company.
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring that their dog is in good health, fully vaccinated, and does not pose a risk to themselves or others. The Company reserves the right to refuse service if the dog is deemed unfit or unsafe for training.

6. Behaviour Issues and Progress

  • Behaviour modification can be a long-term process, and while the Company will make every effort to assist, we cannot guarantee specific results within a given timeframe.
  • The Client is expected to follow the training guidelines provided and practice regularly with their dog between sessions.

7. Online Sessions

  • For online consultations, it is the Client's responsibility to ensure they have a suitable internet connection and device to participate.
  • The Company is not liable for any technical difficulties experienced by the Client during an online consultation.

8. Data Protection

  • Any personal data collected during the provision of services will be handled in accordance with UK Data Protection laws and our Privacy Policy.
  • The Client’s information will not be shared with third parties without prior consent unless required by law.

9. Photography and Videos

  • With the Client’s permission, the Company may take photographs or videos of training sessions for promotional or educational purposes. Clients may withdraw consent at any time.

10. Complaints

  • If the Client has any complaints regarding the services provided, they should contact the Company in writing at georgina@olivedogtraining.com within 7 days of the session.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Amendments

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes before their next session.

 

By booking a session with Olive Dog Training, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
